Ross has been a study artist for decades. She has been represented by Sixth Street Art & Gift Gallery in Prosser Washington and Pacific Gallery in Stockton California. She has been privileged to serve as “Artist in Residence” at the Southwest Craft Center, San Antonio, Texas and the Mendocino Arts Center in California. Her work has been featured juried shows at St. Marks Cathedral in Seattle and at WSU Washington, Tri-Cities.  She attended UC Davis, and graduated from CSU, Sacramento and has a BA in Fine Arts. She holds a Master of Divinity Degree from San Francisco Theological Seminary and a Certificate in Spiritual Direction from Gonzaga University.

She currently lives west of Longview Washington near the historic site of Stella, WA on the Columbia River and is the Pastor of Stella Lutheran Chapel. Before that she lived in the Yakima Valley for sixteen years after returning from a decade of living in Mexico City. She was the Director of the Lutheran Center in Mexico City. Jill travels extensively and plans to return to France this summer to further study the stained glass work of Marc Chagall. She was born in Kilmarnock, Scotland and immigrated to Northern California as a child.

                    JILLIAN ROSS

Jillian (Jill) Ross is an artist, writer, speaker, spiritual director, pastor. Her life work is to create an integrated balance between these endeavors.

During the spring of 2018, Jill is going on tour between Washington state and California to show, read poetry and to open up a dialogue between people about art.

Her current body of work revolves around the theme “Creation, Retelling the Story,” and focuses on the cosmic creation myth from Genesis 1in the Bible as well as her personal story as an artist.

 Jillian’s work will be featured at Avenue West Gallery, Spokane, Washington throughout the month of March 2018. Her opening reception will be Friday, March 2nd.
