My paintings and designs cover a range of subjects and styles, but my main focus is always on color and movement.  Some of my favorite subjects have been foliage, flowers and landscapes.  The recent "Element" series is inspired by cut-aways of granite, marble, and other stones.  My style ranges from representational to impressionistic and, most recently, more abstraction.  I often work with oils and acrylics because of the way they create texture and allow layering.

    Starting my art training at age 12 with weekly art lessons, I learned the basics of color, design, and paint techniques.  Over the next several decades, I experimented with numerous media and various projects, classes, and courses.  What I am showing on this site are my most recent works, done within the past four or five years and primarily the last year or two.
