Looking back I can see that I loved art from the very beginning. I loved color and form and expression through art. I also loved nature immensely so I naturally chose to draw and then paint the beauty of life.
My work has been described as realistic-surrealism. When I work I try to allow a part of the inspiration to flow out into form. I truly hope that people are inspired and touched by my art.
I paint with Liquitex acrylics and Winsor& Newton and Daniel Smith watercolors. For my leather work I use raw hide of goat, deer, elk, horse and buffalo.
I took art classes through out primary schooling and on into college. At Spokane Falls Community College and Spokane Art School I have taken drawing, composition, still-life, figure drawing, acrylic and watercolor classes. I also enjoyed taking a watercolor class from Jody Bergsma and look forward to continuing to grow artistically.
